Here's an experiment:
- Create a read-only list, "ietf-all(_at_)ietf(_dot_)org"
- People send email to ietf(_at_)ietf(_dot_)org as usual
- If the from: address is a subscriber to ietf(_at_)ietf(_dot_)org,
majordomo sends it to the members of ietf(_at_)ietf(_dot_)org and
ietf-all(_at_)ietf(_dot_)org
- If the from: address is NOT a subscriber to ietf(_at_)ietf(_dot_)org,
majordomo sends it only to the people subscribed
to ietf-all(_at_)ietf(_dot_)org
- Archive posts that end up on ietf-all(_at_)ietf(_dot_)org
People who want the complete, unadulterated feed of posts to
ietf(_at_)ietf(_dot_)org can subscribe to ietf-all(_at_)ietf(_dot_)org and see
everying
that is sent to ietf(_at_)ietf(_dot_)org
The rest can (remain) subscribe(d) to ietf(_at_)ietf(_dot_)org
cheers,
gja (who honestly doesn't know enough majordomo to say if this
is a 5 min job, or 5 hours hacking)
