Last December Minneapolis started a Light Rail Service between
downtown and Mall of America with a stop at the airport.
The ride costs $1.25 each way and the trains seem to be running

The closest stop (at 5'th St. and Nicollet Mall) is about 5 blocks
from the Hilton Towers hotel.
Train tickets can be used to transfer to buses, and there are several
routes that go down Nicollet Mall between the LRT stop and the hotel.
The weather today in Minneapolis is above 0'C. It is a nice walk to the
hotel from the train stop :)
