Agreed that we need to avoid any disruptions of existing networks, devices and 
deployment scenarios.  I think we should avoid expending energy on *new* 
functions for IPv4.

It's not the protocols... it's the DEPLOYED APPLICATIONS and DEVICES that 
users have.
