Re: [approved] Robots meta tags and namazu searching...

The test worked out just fine.

On a side note, can you tell me where I need to add that meta tag in
order to have it included in the source that Mhonarc generates for
messages?

I have in html/.PNM.all-head.in and html/.PNM.head.in, however the
messages and date/thread lists do not have it after a make
configure/make rebuild.

Thanks.

I'm curious about the way mharc uses namazu to index the mail messages.
I've been asked to put a <META NAME="ROBOTS" CONTENT="NOARCHIVE"> tag in
the header files for the archives. Will this tag cause the archive to
become unsearchable by namazu?

This is technically a namazu question, but I will try to answer.

Examining the HTML filter of namazu, it appears it will only skip
the message if CONTENT is equal to "NOINDEX" or "NONE".

Of course, you can always do a test index and with some test pages
and see what happens.
