infinite loop

1997-05-30 23:20:48
This message put Mhonarc into an infinite loop.
(Perl 5.003, MHonArc v2.0.0 beta 3, BSDI 2.0 on 486 PC,
mhonarc.resource file appended to the end)

The writer of the message is a music teacher at New York University who
sometimes goes off in a dither like this. My guess is that something in
the body of her message caused some pattern match to go haywire.

Friends--

R.J. Warren+ (aka Lapin de Framboise) -- also known as Rabbi Warren, has
shouted for Help.
He is turning into a Port Chaplain -- and this new life needs the correct
tools and/or accessories.
RJW+!! -- aren't you the same guise of Fr. Warren wot has an radio
program[-me] called "Ask the Daddy" or whatever [?] [CBC?] on the
Rundfunken of Canada?
a few discerning ears, some ears have told me from a distance, that
the presence of a parrot upon your shoulder can be intuited. Clearly.
Visual signs are not alone, ok?
Better a Parrot upon the shoulder than a Monkey Upon one's back, as we
always say here in New York.

A few years ago, the secular band of which I am a loud praying member
(_Left Field_) gave a concert at the Folk Project of Northern NJ. This was
the first time since I'd had a mess of surgeries that I could perform with
my friends _for_ the friends who had helped me so much -- the Folk Project.
Sister Elias (Eileen Freeman, then) is even an officer of The Folk Project,
or was so then. This concert marked the reemergence of Deb, aka Captain
Dweeb. Eileen was there, as I remember. Huh?
<<... "Christiaaaaaaaaan!!!! Aargh!!...">>

Anyhoo, I came back to "the Stage" (postagestamp-sized; 'n rickety) in
triumph, but with one eye missing. So, in order to break the ice at the
Party, I wore a sequined eye-patch and had a clip-on Wood Parrot on my
jacket's shoulder.... My first vocalism into the rotten Shure Mike was,
"aaaaaaaaaaaaarrgggghhh." Suddenly, everything was Fine. (Except
dynamic-plate microphones are hopeless for vocals. Tone sould be a
_choice_. Ribbon semi-cardioids are much better, as long as the casing is
protective. Dynamics force ya to use your voice like a blunt instrument to
force the plate down, Crude, imo. oops -- digress, digress... Look, a
Bird!!!!!)

Behold the bird:
Parrots are messy, Rob -- therefore, q.e.d. imo, a Dead Parrot is better.
Less poopity, and fewer poopities. Pellets of despair.....

But, alas, the Dead Parrot solution is a bit grisly (and, BEWARE: the
parrot may be only resting!), and therefore fails in the warming,
trust-inducing affect, ergo effects, one aims to "master" to deliver
faithfully and dependably as a priest and pastor.

I am writing a List of Accessories you might consider, or need, to aid you
in your further differentiating "Journey" Path Way Thingy, Bobbo. When the
List seems done, I will send it. No way to stop me, as you know.

hopping this hips,
Deb
<dgbly(_at_)POOPITY(_dot_)COM>
official P.S.: Barbara Crafton+ did 2 tours of duty with the Seamen's
Institute (Episc.) in both NYC and NJ. I'll ask her to write to you, if she
can. She is wonderfully erudite about this whole thing, this ministry of
yours. Vicar Barbara of the Seas...

Do we have any Port Chaplains on the list? I've recently been appointed
as Port Chaplain to the Port of Montreal (part time, in addition to my
parish work). I start on Tuesday. I am looking for a parrot and a
captains hat. Are there any other accessories I need?
