Author multipage and Date index don't

I want force mhonarc to create a multipage date index and a no multipage 
author index, but the second configuration file ( author.rc) seems to keep
multipg and idxsize tags of top.rc ( main configuration file ).
How can I override multipg and idxsize tags of top.rc for author index?
