how to do arithmetic on date get by $LOCALDATE(%Y-%m)$ ???

Hi, all:
  This time, I got the local year by LOCALDATE  resvar, say 2011.
  But what I need is 2010 or 2012, so how to do arithmetic on LOCALDATE(%Y) ????
