It works !
The namazu CGI was waiting for the index to be in
/usr/local/var/namazu/index. I'll now look how to change this path.
Another question. Is still Namazu under development ? The documentation news
stops on 2000-10-24.

So, could you try to do the following command form your shell?
$ cd [your http server's cgi directory]
$ env SCRIPT_NAME='namazu.cgi' QUERY_STRING='query=something' ./namazu.cgi
