Why do I get <!DOCTYPE> in the results of pages that start with a
<!DOCTYPE...> tag?
Could you tell me more description with some example?
My homepage starts like this:
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN">
<html>
<head>
<title>Philip's Homepage - About Me</title>
The search results show up like this:
2. Philip's Homepage - About Me (score: 66)

NMZ.field.summary contains:
About Me <!DOCTYPE> Welcome About Me Interests Schooling Projects
Achieved Resumé My name is Philip Tellis, I'm a Capricorn and I
live in Mumbai (formerly Bombay) INDIA. I was born on the 10th
My question is, why is <!DOCTYPE> in the summary? Shouldn't it be
removed just like all other html tags. This also happens with any tag
that isn't recognised. I think that anything within <> should be
stripped from html files.
