Possible bug in repl

1992-10-07 08:16:05
I've found what I believe to be a bug in repl's handling of components
in the repl format file. Specifically:

version: MH [6.6 UCI] [RAND] [IBM AIX 3.1]

==> .mh_profile <==
Path:           Mail
Editor:         vi

==> Mail/.replfmt <==
About %{subject}, you wrote:\n\n\
As %{from}, you wrote:\n\n\
In %{message-id}, you wrote:\n\n\
On %{date}, you wrote:\n\n\

When I type

        repl -form .replfmt

vi is started and here's what I get:

Notice that in each case, there's an un-asked-for space before the comma.

Bill Wohler (wohler(_at_)sap-ag(_dot_)de) confirms the same bug (at least for
%{message-id}) in MH 6.7.1, so I guess it's not an IBM goof.

Please feel free to send mail if you need more info.
