6.8.3 fails to understand @host:@host:...:@host:address format

When I attempt to send to an address like in the subject, I get back
an error message saying that there is no mailbox for the local
part.  I know this is a valid 822 address; is there a reason that MH
is discouraging it?  Or is it a parser bug?
