Installing MH for multiple OS's

1995-07-19 17:01:02

OK, I'm fairly inexperienced in this, so please bear with me,
especially if this has already been discussed...

Background. My system didn't have mh installed, but I have installed
it in my home directory. I do not have root permission, so some
inventive solutions were needed for some things that would normally
be simple.

The current problem. The system here uses a number of Sparcs, some
running older versions of SunOS, some running Solaris (don't ask me
why they haven't upgraded all of them). I configured mh for Solaris,
and it runs perfectly on Solaris machines (except for slocal, but
I think thats inpossible without root access, if you know how to get
around this please tell me). However I'd like it to run on all the
machines. I think I can do this be just reconfiguring the MH file
and specifying different bin, lib, and man directories. But I'm
not sure whether thats all. Is it this simple, or is there more
I need to do?

Thanks
Kevin
