I find that quite clutter-ful, with the []/<> being two characters
to indicate one thing, and the identical subject repeated.

might be expected, the subject is only omitted if it's the same as its
parent's.

Still prefer the MH-E way (perhaps without the []/<> characters) as
well as the folded gnus way.
