James Galvin writes:
MIME is currently a proposed standard. Also, although it adopted the
"table" as specified in RFC1113, its actual encoding procedures are
similar to those in the current PEM internet drafts.
Does this mean we can't change it? Is there any flexibility left in
a standard process if the word "proposed" precedes the word standard?
Especially if the change is minor, like this?
Could somebody forward this discussion over to the MIME mailing list,
if there is one? I'd like to hear some opinions from them too.
