Hello all, I am brand new to the list thanks to a visit to Interop so please
forgive the probable FAQ. We are a software company involved in EDI and have
recently become interested in trying to do EDI over the internet. We currently
have 2000+ customers around the world using our EDI software products and we
have licensed this code to a number of major EDI players (over 200) .
Our interest in pem is for the obvious requirements of authentication and
non-repudiation which are components of the EDI mission. We are currently
looking at a MIME solution to provide a similar solution to what is done
in 435 in the OSI world. We have a number of large corporations who have
expressed interest in internet EDI, if we can solve the security problems.
I had great hopes in RSA based solutions but after monitoring the traffic
here for about a week, it sounds to me like we should look elsewhere for
solutions. Can anyone tell me what other technologies are being worked on ?
