Vint, I guess one could take advantage of FINGER as another means of making certificates (vs. just public keys) available. We should keep in mind that many sites do not run FINGER because of security concerns, so this is not a universal means of providing this info, nor does it work in environments where only email traffic is carried, but it might provide another interim directory facility for certificates.
