I think that it is too early to get excited. The minutes said, "No
resolution of this issue was reached at this meeting." Time was quite
short in the meeting, and it was known that RSA was undertaking a look at
this topic. Hopefully, further analyses will be available before the next
IETF, 1-5 November, in Houston, Texas.
Thanks for pointing this out. I'll look forward to further results.
Meanwhile, it's too bad I'm a lone voice on the performance issue.... :-(
