Re: public assurance model and description

1994-01-02 10:32:00
See cs.ucl.ac.uk:password/r25.ps for a model and description and
statement ofthe security properties of a possible "public trust model"
which embraces, but is not limited to PEM 1422. The document was produced
by the University of Cambridge Security people, the major author being Mike
Roe.

Mike is a member of PSRG, and I therefore presume that this document has done
the rounds there.

The document did not make the rounds of the PSRG, because the PSRG handed
PEM to the PEM Working Group of the IETF a couple years ago. Proposals and
comments concerning PEM should be sent to the PEM WG, of which this list,
pem-dew(_at_)tis(_dot_)com is the official mailing list.

The PSRG trys very hard to AVOID discussing PEM, in order that the PSRG can
go on to other accomplishments. (We had to threaten stoning before some
members would drop the subject. "There's just one more thing ... ")
