Rhys,
Since Printable String doesn't include the ampersand, I think it
is a relatively poor choice for an organizational name, although it
is one of the choices under DirectoryString. Teletex, aka T.61, seems
to be much more flexible, especially when/if the nonspacing
diacritical marks and secondary characters are supported.
You misunderstood me. I was saying that for e-mail address -> DN
translations according to my model, that I would stick to
PrintableString because there is an existing defined encoding for that
mapping. For anything else, you are more than welcome to use T.61,
UniversalString, etc.
Maybe I should have kept my mouth shut. :-)
Cheers,
Rhys.
