on the server to write to the database; something based on the user's
password; or use some (yuk!) proprietry scheme? Does "casual snooping"
mean "viewing the file with more" or "applying a cryptanalytic attack to
get the contents"?
Always good to check out what the opposition is up to, so we can "borrow"
the good ideas.
