Contains info on CAs for EDI, the CA interfaces, mechanisms for issuing
smartcards etc. and the operational principles for the "UN"
registration infrastructure for EDI identifiers.

I have not see any intention of the project to delegate name
registration to the internet NICs etc, though they do do reuse
significantly the existing EDI infrastructure for registration
performed by Dun and Bradstreet, Visa, etc.

It includes a study of the operational UK Naming Authority,
and the method of mapping EDI identifiers to Distinguished
Names.

Its probably not legitimate to discuss this other than as an FYI in the
IETF stds process. (Though I think the OSI moratorium imposed by the
Internet IESG was lifted recently, so Ill take advice)
