I've been listening to this group for some time and I've noticed several
postings with requests for information about the status/existence of the IPRA
and the PCA's but I've never seen a reply to these questions. I think it
would be a good idea if somebody could summarise the current situation
regarding these institutions: ie. whether they exist, how to get in touch with
them and what sort of policies they have.
I'm a member of a team developing a PEM application here in Poland. It will
go into beta testing soon and we shall be working on setting up our own CA to
cover the academic network. Therefore I would also be interested in hearing
about about any experiences from people who have already done this (set up
CA's, that is).
Also, it would be interesting to know how widespread is the deployment of PEM.
I know of projects in the UK, in Japan and of implementations in Sweden, France
and Germany - anywhere else ?
If I receive replies by email I'll try to summarise them.
