Subject: INFORMATION SECURITY COMMITTEE MEETING
AMERICAN BAR ASSOCIATION
Dear Committee Member:
You are cordially invited to participate in a meeting of the American
Bar Association's Information Security Committee, Section of Science and
Technology on Monday through Wednesday, May 1-3, 1995, in Washington, D.C.
The Committee will review contributions to the draft Global Digital Model
Signature Guidelines and Legislation ("Guidelines"), further advance the
development of a CyberNotarial (tm) institution, and discuss other projects.
The meetings are focused around the Committee's work product and will be
highly results-driven.
At the last meeting (February 12-15, 1995 in Miami Beach, Florida),
further progress was made on the development of the Guidelines as well as the
organizational structure of a CyberNotarial Association.
David Levy has kindly agreed to host the meeting at The International
Law Institute, in Washington, D.C. A statement of current issues (sent to
working members), a proposed agenda, and meeting logistics are attached.
These materials reflect the suggestions of the ad hoc agenda committee. I
look forward to seeing you in Washington.
Sincerely,
Michael S. Baum
