Hi procmail(_at_)informatik(_dot_)rwth-aachen(_dot_)de
CC Brent(_dot_)Welch(_at_)eng(_dot_)sun(_dot_)com (of exmh) &
wohler(_at_)newt(_dot_)com (of MH FAQ )

A Question please:
What do you reccomend so I can get procmail to update my MH
~/Mail/_folders_/.mh_sequences unseen: fields ?
( At present it only delivers the mail files into folders ).
My Background (skip if not necessary :-)
I previously suggested to Brent(_dot_)Welch(_at_)eng(_dot_)sun(_dot_)com
that it would be nice if
EXMH could change folder colour when new mail was within a folder,
I now see exmh already does this already (I had to remove my
.forward containing
"|IFS=' '&&p=/usr/local/bin/procmail&&test -f $p&&exec $p -Yf-||exit 75 #jhs"
so that I could see my exmh inbox turn blue for new mail, when supplied by a
simple test of `date | mail my_name`
Basically after I connect each day or so via dynamic-ip-slip (thus no
fixed domain (usually, but an alternate ISP may offer domains,
hence I want my .forward in place too), & nmormally no mail delivered
by sendmail ) I download my mbox via ftp ,
& then run my mbox through a procmail script, which fails to update the
unseen: lines in all the exmh folder/.mh_sequences, so exmh thinks ive seen
all the new mail.
PS please leave jhs(_at_)freebsd(_dot_)org on cc line, as I've only just sent
in my
enrollment request for
procmail(_at_)informatik(_dot_)rwth-aachen(_dot_)de
& replies may precede my enrollment.
Thanks for any help folks :-)
