Filtering MS Exchange Binary Attachments

I've got a couple of MS Exchange subscribers on my list, and MSE seems
fond of attaching a base64-encoded binary attachment to its messages.
I'd like to strip that nonsense off before adding the message to
my digest, and thought I'd ask for hints for this sort of filtering
job from anyone who's been through it, before I plunge in myself.
