We're having a chronic problem with procmail dying on messages that have
somewhat complex headers. Procmail dies which causes mail.local to
generate a sig 13. This leaves the lock file sitting around until it
times out at which time procmail has another go at the message. The
process repeats until we remove the messages. Eventually our mail
queue fills with these and inbound mail is delayed badly.
We're running BSDI 2.0.1 and procmail 3.10. Has anyone seen this kind of
behavior before? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I'd include
one of the headers but don't know if that would cause chaos with other
people's mail systems.
