Hi there,
I am a new user and wish to forward a copy of all my mails to another
address and at the same time keep a copy of each mail in the server.
Unless there are other things you want to do or you really want to use procmail
there is no need to use procmail for what you want. Just put
\peterg, othername(_at_)other(_dot_)domain(_dot_)com
In your .forward file.
The \loginname will deliver a copy directly into your account bypassing your
.forward file so there are no loops. It will also send a copy to the other
address.
The procmailex man page has an example of how to keep copies of all your mail
at
two address which you could simplify for your case.
The procmail man page has a good explaination of several methods for executing
procmail from your .forward. I would suggest trying several of them and if it
doesn't work send a complete list of your situation and the error conditions
and
messages you get.
