Hi,
I recently built and installed procmail-3.11pre4. My system is a sparc
running sunos4.1.3, procmail is *not* installed as root and is invoked from
my .forward.
The idea behind my .procmailrc is to preselect messages from mailing lists
into private mail drops and to allow everything to fall into the system
mailbox.
When I first used it all messages were concatenated into one, on reading
further I found the -f flag and my .forward now looks like:
"|/usr/local/bin/procmail -f - #eoskiewi"
This now separates messages but each inserted From line says they are from
*me*. I would prefer the From line to name the sender so that the unix from
command is useful. I presume this must be possible so do I need:
to install procmail as setuid root
change my .forward
change my .procmailrc (currently there is no explicit text to catch
default messages)
Cheers,
Ed Oskiewicz
