Hi,
I have read some FAQ's but cannot figure out if it is possible to do this.
I receive e-mail into the same Unix account for two different e-mail
addresses (one of them is the actual address on the account, the other is
e-mail automatically forwarded from somewhere). In the one that is
forwarded, the forwarding system is clever enough to have the "simulated"
e-mail address in the "To:" field.
For e.g., I might get one e-mail that says "To: mufti(_at_)pls(_dot_)com" and
another
that says "To: mufti(_at_)poboxes(_dot_)com". Now, I want to filter the two
kinds of
e-mail into their own folders (I know this won't work for mailing lists,
since there my e-mail address is not present in the "To:" field, but let
us ignore that for the present). I assume that procmail can let me do
this.
But what do I do for messages which have both e-mail addresses in the
"To:" or "CC:" fields? I get two copies of these messages, and I want one
to automatically go to one folder and the other identical message to go to
a different folder. Is it possible to do this? Can procmail help me?
Thanks for any help you can provide.
