        The right way to do this is to forward the user's mail to a
        filter which will bounce the message back to the author with a
        message that the mailbox is full.

        This does a number of things:
                1) Keeps your butt out of hot water.
                2) Prevents a message from being "lost" from the
                        user's point of view.
                3) Provides the author a "feedback" with which to deal with.
