what the heck is formail doing?

Help me!

This recipe:

        |(formail -r ; /bin/echo "$ip") | $SENDMAIL -oi -t
}

produces this "From" line on the reply:


From:  To: "luomat(_at_)nerc(_dot_)com Subject: Re: send_ip References:

what's going on??????
