Weird change of permissions (procmail)

1996-11-13 06:24:41
Hi,

My procmail is absolutely weird !! It filters all right for a while
and then all of a sudden changes the permission of my mailbox in
/usr/mail/<myname> so no further read/writes are allowed by 'group'.
After that some mails sent to me bounces with a message saying that
I have no valid shell for delivering mail :-( Other mails, however,
still arrive without any problem. Does anyone have any clue about
what's going on ? Procmail gets invoked from .forward with

"|exec /usr/unic/bin/procmail #user"

and my .procmailrc is supposed to split mail from mailingslists into
separate folders while leaving private mail in my mailbox (nothing
fancy). I have tried to do this as follows :

PATH=/usr/unic/bin:/home3/rt/bin
MAILDIR=$HOME/Mail/Incoming #you'd better make sure it exists
LOGFILE=$MAILDIR/procmail.log   #recommended

- but I'm no procmail guru, so maybe I've missed something ?!?!
