OK I got it and compiled it, but I'll some help in setting it up if you
could tell me what I put in .procmailrc to get it to save out the textual
attachments to individual files. Does it make any more difficult/easy
that it often has more than one attachment per message?
I don't use metamail; I simply gave you the URL. However, I'm sure I
spotted some examples in the procmailex man page about how to use it.
What I have been using until very recently is something called
`emil'...
http://www.uu.se/emil/
ftp://ftp.uu.se/pub/unix/networking/mail/emil/
It takes a little bit of configuring and getting used to how it works,
but it does indeed work very well. I can give you lots of hints about
using that if you end up experimenting with it.
I've now changed over to use mh to handle my email, and it is fully
mime-capable... I've no need to use anything else but mh's tools now :)
Cheers .
