delivering to mail directories and mailstat

When delivering to mailfolders that are directories (whether MH style or
procmail-style (what is the point of this procmail-style directory format
anyway?)) the log gets a "/some/dir/msg.F_B" (or "/some/dir/13") entry
which mailstat is unable to merge back into a single folder entry,
which makes mailstat basically useless in such a case.

Is that a known-misfeature that won't disappear or is it a bug that should get
fixed before the real 3.11 release ?
