HELP getting procmail to work with Spam Bouncer

1997-07-15 18:49:00

I'm a novice system administrator of a Linux machine and I would like to
get Spam Bouncer working with procmail.

My /etc/procmailrc file is:

SENDMAIL=/usr/bin/sendmail
FORMAIL=/usr/bin/formail
DEFAULT=$MAIL
ADMINFOLDER=$DEFAULT
ALTFROM=nospam(_at_)tetrion(_dot_)com
BYPASSWD=againstspam
BLOCKFOLDER=$DEFAULT
LINEBUF=16384
NOLOOP=$ALTFROM
SBDIR=/etc/spambouncer
SPAMFOLDER=$HOME/spam.incoming
INCLUDERC=$SBDIR/splite.rc
#INCLUDERC=$SBDIR/spam.rc

Ultimately I would like to use spam.rc, instead of the "lite" version which
is splite.rc.

The problems that I am having is that spam is suppose to go to
spam.incoming in the user's home directory. It seems to be working but the
ownership on the spam.incoming is not the user, but is root. I assume this
is because /etc/procmailrc is a global file. spam.incoming needs to be
owned by the user, not root. Any ideas?

Also, when I use the regular version of the spam bouncer, it doesn't send
mail like I believe it is suppose to. I find this in the messages file

This is a test message I sent to myself from a hot mail account, which the
spam bouncer is suppose to send me a message back telling me to use a
password. I don't think the DSN error is suppose to be there.
