If you're not intimately familiar with regular expressions (do you
know the difference between DFA regular expression engines and NFA
regular expression engines?), you're sure to learn quite a bit from
this book. It talks about regular expressions as such, but also talks
about the regular expression engines in some widely-used software:
awk, Tcl, GNU emacs, and (extensively) Perl.
Procmail, on the other hand, doesn't even get a mention in the index.
I recommend the book highly.
