I am thinking of using procmail to verify the return address of
each incoming mail message. I could write a script that
procmail calls for each From line. If nslookup fails on the
return address, send the message directly to the trash can.
I'd suggest checking out www.sendmail.org.... they have recipes to verify
domains, and it would be much more efficient... and then you can just dump
the message with a temporary or permanent error... temp in case the DNS timed
out...
