The |cat >junk.mail is a test of piping the mail to a command,
something simple.
Free tip: if you want to test SOMETHING, test SOMETHING... don't test
somethingELSE if you want to see how SOMETHING works...
However, I also have this later on in my .procmailrc:
:0 c
| /usr/ucb/vacation snowe
Piping mail to a program works OK here.
that's because cat and vacation deal differently.....
