Hello all! I have used a very simple recipe for several years to sort
the large amount of incoming mail into my preselected folders. It has
been a geninue blessing.
However, although I am something of a read-only visitor to the
discussion group, I do now have a new problem to resolve.
Up to now, I have only used information in the headers of incoming
mail. But because of the Canadian mail strike, I or my colleague needs
to receive document submissions for considered inclusion in a 1998
conference we are sponsoring. We have previously set a date in
December as a deadline, but now, we want to be ready to receive the
submissions by email.
Because of famous "finger poking problems" which arise, I want to be
able to pick up a phrase, or a series of key words, anywhere in the
entire email - not just the header - in order to receive these
submissions, and sort them to a specific folder. I would also
appreciate any comment about searching attachments.
Could someone suggest a possible addition to my .procmailrc recipe which
will sort mail in this way?
I will appreciate any help, and thanking you in advance, keeping in
mind this is my first adventure from my home base...
Bye for now,
Bill McQueen in Toronto.
