autoresponders and pop

I setup a simple autoresponder for testing and it works fine until I turn on pop
for that account, how can we have the autoresponder work while the msg is still
sent to the pop mailbox?

Since the pop account is basically enabled in the sendmail aliases file, how can
we have pop accounts on each alias while having one autoresponder on each of
these aliases?
