Procmail is giving us a periodic error, and I cannot determine why.
It will not deliver mail to some users. For example:

  procmail: Unknown user "kiteie"
  550 kiteie... User unknown

However, this user does exist and does have a valid mailbox. Subsequent
mail sent to this user will work. For some reason, procmail seems to be
failing randomly and selectively. :(

What version of procmail are you using (type 'procmail -v')? Also,
does the username in the passwd file have any capital letters? If
the account name has uppercase letters and you're running procmail
3.10 or earlier, you'll see this message.

We're using procmail 3.11. The username doesn't have capital letters.
It is very confusing. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
It seems to happen more with users who are receiving mail from mailing
lists or via their aliases. Odd.
