Has anyone tried Maildrop?

Has anyone tried Maildrop? It's a procmail-like filtering local delivery
agent, available at
http://www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/Peaks/5799/maildrop.README.html

I saw it mentioned on some list (this one?), but don't know anything about
it other than what's on the author's web page. I'd be interested in
hearing anyone's impressions of it.
