I've made the following setup.
Using only one email address:
1- Subsubscribe/Unsubscribe with confirmation
request
2- Automatic removal after 3 months if list member hasn't sent a
message to the list. (This way I don't have to deal with bounced
messages I just delete them). Eventually the no-longer valid address
gets
removed. (And only lurkers have to refresh their
memberships).
3- Rejection of messages from non-list members unless the message is
on topic. (I have a list of
keywords).
The setup is a combo of procmail with awk, sed, grep
and unix shell scripts.

subscribe/unsubscribe information. I've tested the
setup with my work address, yahoo, hotmail, lycosmail and usa.net.
