How do I...

1999-02-25 16:38:12

I'm not sure how to go about doing the following, but I'm sure that
this has been done many-a-time.

I get a mailing list as a digest (no other way possible,
unfortunately), and I want to undigest it, and *for each mail in the
digest*, replace the reply-to with the sender's address AND the list
address. I think this would require that formail call itself to get
the from address (or the -rx "To:" address trick) somehow.

Essentially, I want something like:

|formail +1 -ds formail -i "Reply-To: known_list_address, `formail -rx 'To:'`"
-s >> mailbox_for_this_list

but this seems wrong on a couple levels.

Any ideas? Have I missed this in the man page(s) somewhere?

Thanks.
