i have fetchmail fetch mail from my school's pop 3 server. when it does,
the mail get's put into /var/spool/mail/mail instead of
/var/spool/mail/root.
even more confusing, it doesn't write an entry in procmail's mail log,
which makes it look like procmail isn't really running.
...
INCLUDERC=${HOME}/.procmail/rc.maillists
LOGFILE=$MAILDIR/MAILLOG
...
Well, all this means is that the delivery is taking place before you
set LOGFILE. Try putting the assignment to LOGFILE before the
INCLUDERC.
i just did -- i put the assignment at the very top of the rcfile, but it
didn't make any difference. it really seems like procmail isn't running.
any other ideas?
