i had originally got into this tryin to setup a way to send out an automated
message to all the different POP accounts on my server. then i found this
spam bouncer and have decided to set it up.
i still havent come up with a recipe that will send out a dedicated message
from my domain to anyone who sends a message to an email address of mine.
one for sales, one for support etc. so far all i can do is send out ONE
message fotr the default account only!
i have about 50 domains i need to set this up for
any ideas?
I *know* I have sketched out the basics of how to do this correctly
at least a couple times on this mailing list over the last few years.
I suggest you search the archives for "virtual domain". Throwing in
"mailertable" and/or "virtusertable" may help narrow the search down.

You should also check out the sendmail FAQ. Check out
http://www.sendmail.org/
If a *thorough* reading of the archives and the sendmail FAQ, combined
with the help you've already received, is not sufficient then I would
strongly recommend that you consider hiring someone to help you who
has done this before. Don't bother asking me -- I'm too busy with
what I do -- but they may be others on the list whom you could hire.
Please, for the sake of your clients, don't set up virtual domain if you
don't understand what every single configuration and rcfile line does.
There are already too many broken virtual domain services out there,
we don't need another.
(Also, era's FAQ has a good block of text on "envelope vs headers
address". http://www.iki.fi/~era/procmail/mini-faq.html )
