Hello all,
I searched thru the archives and couldn't find a clear answer to my
question. I'm trying to configure procmail 3.14 to deliver to
/var/spool/mail/$LOGNAME in MailDir format. /var/spool/mail is NFS
mounted from a Network Attached Storage device. I can get it to work id
/var/spool/mail/$LOGNAME exist. But being a distributed system, those
files aren't created when a user is added. Is the a way to make procmail
create those directories on the fly.
I tired this recipe in /etc/procmailrc
DIR=/var/spool/mail/$LOGNAME
:0 ihc
* ! ? test -d $DIR
| mkdir -p $DIR
MAILDIR=$DIR
It did not work. The mail was delivered to /var/spool/mail/$LOGNAME is
mbox format (default I believe)
Please respond off list, as I'm not subscribed to the list. When I get
it all configured and working, I'll repost my findings.
TIA
