why is that a problem ?
while maildir man page describes one of possible ways to create unique
filenames, it doesn't require to follow that scheme and specifically says
that "readers should not attempt to parse filenames", probably except for
the "info" field (number after the colon).
Also note, that some tools like qmail-pop3d use filename as UIDL for the
message and get the date from timestamp on the file itself.
