RedHat 7 Procmail Problem

2001-03-11 05:36:31
I'm running a mail server on RedHat 7 and .procmailrc's refuse to run. I've
got
not error messages anywhere. I've confirmed that procmail is (as it appears to
be in the configs) the local delivery agent by renaming the binary and seeing
if mail still got delivered (it didn't). I've searched the archieves and
bugzilla on RedHat's site to no avail. I've tried group permissions, older
versions of procmail with the group writeable dir fix, upgrading to a new beta
of procmail from RedHat. Nothing seems to work and I'm not getting any error
messages in any of the logs--it is simply not executing users .procmailrc
files.
 I'm really at a loss, if anyone has any ideas or recommendations I'd greatly
appreciate it. Have I missed something obvious?

RPMs installed

sendmail-8.11.0-8
procmail-3.14-5

As a side note, the only changes I've made to sendmail.cf are to turn off vrfy
and expn; and a few other anti-spam measures. So it is essentially a default
RH
config.

Here is a copy of the .procmailrc I'm trying to execute. It is a redo of a
vacation system I wrote for FreeBSD. I've since verified this version works on
other machines.

#What Shell Are we Using?
SHELL=/bin/bash

#Where is Sendmail?
SENDMAIL=/usr/sbin/sendmail

# Set to yes for Debugging
VERBOSE=yes

#Turn off Message Notification
COMSAT=no

#Remove # for major logging
LOGABSTRACT=all

# Where is our mail stored when we process with procmail?
# When .forward is used defaults to user home dir
MAILDIR=/home/sabbatical/data # Make sure this directory exists!

# Directory for storing procmail-related files
PMDIR=/home/sabbatical/procmail
# Put # before LOGFILE if you want no logging (not recommended)
# This is the Default
LOGFILE=$MAILDIR/default-log

# The Recipe(s) we use for processing. IE Who is gone?
# If the Directions in README were followed there should
# be no need to ever comment these out. But if you are
# Un-sure or Paranoid please do comment them out
#
INCLUDERC=$PMDIR/mark_sabbatical.rc  # M. Chitti,
INCLUDERC=$PMDIR/sabbatical_test.rc  # Test User
INCLUDERC=$PMDIR/catch_all.rc # Need this for Mailing Lists and Alias! NO
REMOVE!
