Alright, this is still not working. I looked at procmail.org, the FAQs, etc.
and can't figure it out.

I tried and it doesn't. I get nothing in the log either !? It's as if
procmail is completely bypassed or it simply does look at my .procmailrc.
Well, how do you know that procmail is being invoked at all? Have you
checked your MTA's logs?
Ok, maybe I took for granted that this qmail startup script would invoke
procmail just fine. I mean, it's the same I used to use before migrating
from mbox to maildir format, and which use to work no problem.
#!/bin/sh
exec env - PATH="/var/qmail/bin:$PATH" \
qmail-start '| preline /usr/bin/procmail' splogger qmail
My logs show mail being delivered by qmail. Nowhere do I see procmail
mentionned.
Here's some info to help debug this situation;
mail:/home$ ls -ld caronj
drwx------ 10 caronj users 2048 Mar 14 10:17 caronj/
mail:/home$ cd caronj
mail:~$ ls -la .procm*
-rw------- 1 caronj users 0 Feb 21 11:28 .procmail.log
-rw------- 1 caronj users 4410 Mar 14 10:17 .procmailrc
-rw-r--r-- 1 caronj users 4324 Feb 4 2000 .procmailrc.bak
.procmail:
total 3
drwxr-xr-x 2 caronj users 1024 Mar 14 10:17 ./
drwx------ 10 caronj users 2048 Mar 14 10:17 ../
mail:~$ ls -ld Maildir
drwx------ 80 caronj users 3072 Mar 14 09:20 Maildir/
And an extract from the top of my .procmailrc;
mail:~$ cat .procmailrc |more
PATH=/bin:/usr/bin
MAILDIR=$HOME/Maildir
PMDIR=$HOME/.procmail
LOGFILE=$HOME/.procmail.log
QMAIL=/var/qmail/bin/qmail-inject
# added for testing / setup of Maildir format
VERBOSE=YES
LOGABSTRACT=all
Does anyone have a clue ? I'm completly lost since that migration when it
comes to procmail. I do get all my mail, it just doesn't get sorted anymore,
and that's a big enough pain... :(
Thanks again,
Jean
